FCC Reconfiguration for 60 Meters
FCC Reconfiguration for 60 Meters
As per FCC Report and order 25-60 link released 9 December, 2025, becoming effective 30 days after being published in the Federal Register – there are changes to the “60 meter” band as follows:
- “Channel 3” will be a contiguous 15 kHz “band” from 5351.5 to 5366.5 kHz.
- The MAXIMUM ERP level for this segment will be 9.15 Watts ERP (15 watts EIRP): It will remain at 100 watts ERP for channels 1, 2, 4 and 5.
- This means that running 100 watts ERP will be no longer allowed on the “old” channel 3 frequency.
- The maximum bandwidth of any mode on this or any other 60 meter channel is/will be 2.8 kHz.
- The changes to “Channel 3” more closely reflect how 60 meters is allocated in many other parts of the world.
